Enterprise Group PLC Partners with Springboard Foundation to Launch 'The Enterprise Spotlight' for Ghanaian Youth

In a significant move to bolster the nation's burgeoning SME sector, Enterprise Group PLC, a titan in Ghana’s financial services and insurance landscape, officially launched "The Enterprise Spotlight" on Monday, March 16. Delivered in strategic partnership with the Springboard Road Show Foundation, this national youth entrepreneurship competition is set to discover, fund, and mentor the next generation of Ghanaian business leaders.

The initiative represents a major corporate social investment by Enterprise Group, reflecting a deep commitment to sustainable economic growth, youth empowerment, and the resilience of indigenous businesses.

A Platform for Innovation and Growth

"The Enterprise Spotlight" is designed to be more than just a pitch competition. It is a comprehensive ecosystem of support aimed at equipping young entrepreneurs with the capital and knowledge required to scale their operations.

Following a rigorous nationwide selection process, 24 outstanding entrepreneurs will be chosen to showcase their businesses before an expert panel of judges. The journey of these young founders will be captured and broadcast nationally starting May 10, 2026, offering participants unprecedented market exposure and brand visibility across the country.

Beyond the spotlight, all 24 selected participants will undergo an intensive capacity-building program. This includes structured business mentorship, psychosocial counseling, and strategic guidance to ensure they are mentally and operationally prepared to handle the pressures of scaling a business.

Substantial Financial Injections

Recognizing that access to capital remains one of the highest hurdles for youth-led enterprises, Enterprise Group has committed substantial non-equity financial grants to the advancing participants. The prize structure is highly competitive, designed to inject significant liquidity into the winning businesses:

  • Overall Winner: GHS 100,000

  • First Runner-Up: GHS 80,000

  • Second Runner-Up: GHS 50,000

  • Semi-Finalists: GHS 10,000 (each)

  • Quarterfinalists: GHS 5,000 (each)

Eligibility and Inclusivity

The organizers have structured the application process to be as inclusive and accessible as possible. The challenge is open to entrepreneurs aged 18 to 40 who operate a formally registered business within Ghana, regardless of the economic sector.

In a strong push for equitable economic participation, Enterprise Group and the Springboard Foundation are explicitly encouraging applications from women-led businesses and entrepreneurs living with disabilities.

Why This Matters for the Financial Sector

For observers within the insurance and financial services sector, "The Enterprise Spotlight" highlights the critical role corporate giants play in de-risking the SME landscape. By providing grants, mentorship, and psychosocial support, Enterprise Group is helping to cultivate a pipeline of robust, insurable, and bankable businesses that will ultimately contribute to the broader stability of the Ghanaian economy.

Call to Action: How to Apply

Eligible entrepreneurs are urged to seize this transformative opportunity before the application window closes.

Application Deadline: Monday, April 6, 2026
